Officers with the Roanoke Rapids Police Department responded to a business in the 100 block of Becker Drive in regards to a subject with a gun inside and a disturbance.
Upon arriving at the business, the officers made contact with a male and a female who were involved in the altercation.
Upon further investigation it was learned the female had the handgun and pulled it out during an argument and an assault that took place.
The male subject allegedly pushed the female and this escalated to the concealed handgun being pulled and pointed.
The officers at the business noted there was a sign prohibiting firearms in the facility and both the female and the male were arrested and taken before a magistrate.
The male subject was identified as Marvin Adams 46 from the Roanoke Rapids area, he was arrested for assault on a female and placed under a $750 bond with a court date of July 15, 2022.
The female arrested was identified as Alice Griffin 49, from the Roanoke Rapids area.
She was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and placed under a $750 bond with a July 15, 2022 court date.
