Pueblo police received several calls regarding drive by shootings with several locations on the north and east sides of Pueblo involving a black truck the night of July 11, 2022.
Some of these calls involved this black truck exchanging gunfire with another vehicle.
Pueblo police investigated all these incidents. Officers located the black truck in the area of 18th St. and Norwood Ave.
After a pursuit the black truck wrecked near the intersection of 13th St. and Eastern Ave. and stopped in the 3000 block of E. 13th St.Four suspects ran from the truck.
Three suspects were placed in custody after a foot chase. Pueblo police established a perimeter and began a search for the fourth suspect.
This perimeter and search took several hours near the intersections of Juan Madrid Ave. and 15th St. and Neilson Ave. and 15th St.
The fourth suspect was not located in the area. The possible fourth suspect arrived at the police station. Police are still investigating these incidents and gathering evidence.
One juvenile male was arrested on charges of Vehicular Eluding, Auto Theft, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, Criminal Mischief, and Domestic Violence.
This juvenile had previous involvements for Felony Menacing, Hit and Run, Theft, and Retaliation of a Witness / Victim.
Additional charges are pending regarding these incidents.
Two handguns were recovered on scene with an additional handgun visible inside the truck. The information contained in this press release is based on preliminary information available at the time of its drafting.
