Oklahoma – The Tulsa Police Fugitive Warrants Team is trying to track down 64-year-old James Tracy Gainer.
On 9/1/2018, Gainer got in a fight with another man in a breezeway at an apartment complex near 51st and S. Lewis.
Gainer beat the victim with a broomstick, then later dragged him into the parking lot, and continued to beat him. The victim later died from his injuries.
James Gainer was initially arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder. Court records show the charges were dismissed by the state in 2021 due to Gainer’s competency issues.
The state refiled the 1st Degree Murder charge in June of this year, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Gainer is outstanding at this time.
