His bond has been set at $5 million and charges are expected to be filed this week.
Tulsa Police expect Chris Morland to be charged soon with the murder of his wife, Cassidy Ritchie.
Morland was booked into the Tulsa County jail last Thursday on a Texas warrant for being a fugitive from justice.
Records show he was arrested in Montague County, Texas in 2019 for assault and had two warrants at the time, for having a gun as a felon and a parole violation in California, where investigators say he served time for murder.
Records show he was arrested for family violence in 2021 in Witchita County, Texas, accused of slapping and punching his wife, but, that was later dismissed.
Records show he and that wife, separated a year later and she moved to Tulsa County and filed for divorce in August of 2022.
Records show that divorce was not finalized, but, he married Cassidy Ritchie in Tulsa on January 7th.
