Police arrested a man in connection with the abduction of Naomi Irion.
Troy Driver, 41, has been identified as the man who approached Naomi’s car and drove off in it. Police have impounded his truck.
Naomi Irion has still not been found and police are actively investigating the case.
On March 12, 2022, Naomi Irion went missing. Police believe she was abducted.
Naomi Irion, 18, was last seen in a Walmart parking lot in Fernley, Nevada around 5:00am on March 12, 2022.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s office, Naomi was active on social media between 5:09 and 5:23am. At 5:24am an unidentified man (now identifies as Troy Driver) approached Naomi, who was sitting in the driver’s side of her own vehicle, a four-door sedan.
There was an exchange between Driver and Naomi, and she moved into the passenger seat. Driver got into the driver’s seat and drove away.
On March 15, 2022, police located her car in an industrial park in Fernley. According to press release, “evidence suggesting Naomi’s disappearance is criminal in nature was located in her vehicle.” Police believe that the suspect drove to his own vehicle.
On March 17, 2022, the Layon County Sheriff’s Office announced they were working with the Pyramid Lake Police Department and the FBI to help find Naomi.
They stated they were searching Hill Ranch Road and Highway 427 in Wadsworth.
