Weslaco, TX – The Weslaco Police Department received several reports of vehicle burglaries in the Northwest side of the city along Northgate Drive, Lilia Drive, West Anacua Circle and Fresno Lane.
The investigations division recovered video from several security cameras showing a group of 4 females entering and stealing items from unlocked vehicles.
Today, January 17th, 2023, the Weslaco Police Department arrested 17-year-old Clarissa Evangelina Aguirre and 17-year-old Perla Berenice Balderas.
In addition, the other two females, who are juveniles, were identified and detained on January 13th, 2023, and were also charged with 3 counts of burglary of vehicles each and one was additionally charged with unlawful possession of identifying information.
Today, January 17th, 2023, City of Weslaco Municipal Judge Samuel Sanchez arraigned 17-year-old Clarissa Evangelina Aguirre on 3 counts of burglary of motor vehicle and she was issued a $15,000 P/R Bond.
17-year-old Perla Berenice Balderas was arraigned on 3 counts of burglary of motor vehicle, and she was issued a $15,000 P/R Bond.
Due to their age, the identity of the two female juveniles detained will not be released per state law.
