According to reports at the time, he shot her in the leg and ordered her to keep driving, but she stopped the vehicle on the I-579 ramp to the Boulevard of the Allies and got out.
Sheriff Kraus said his detectives learned Saturday that Crew was in an apartment in the 7000 block of Apple Street.
Detectives went there shortly before 11 a.m. and encountered Chelsey McIntosh, whom they described as Crew’s girlfriend.
She told them that she had not seen Crew in two days, but later admitted she had been arranging locations where he could stay, the sheriff said.
In addition to the charges connected to the shooting of his wife, Crew also was wanted on a bench warrant for a case involving fraud and will be charged with illegally possessing a firearm, the sheriff said.
Ms. McIntosh will be charged with hindering apprehension, the sheriff said.
