Chicago – Automated License Plater Readers helped Agents track down an expressway shooting suspect
Des Plaines, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigations Violent Crimes Unit Zone 1 Agents have arrested
On June 3, 2022, at approximately 1:28 p.m., ISP District Chicago Troopers responded to an expressway shooting that occurred on Interstate 90 northbound at Addison Street, Chicago.
ISP Troopers located a 55-year-old male victim whose vehicle sustained bullet defects after an encounter on the roadway. The victim was uninjured by the gunfire.
As a part of the in-depth investigation, ISP reviewed Automatic License Plate Readers images on June 4, 2022, which ultimately assisted in locating the suspect vehicle and the alleged shooter, later identified as Jolivet, in Chicago.
On June 5, 2022, the Cook County State’s Attorney Office approved one count of Attempted Murder against Jolivet.
On June 6, 2022, Jolivet’s bond was set by the court at $100,000 with 10% to apply. There is no further information available.
