Police arrest a woman accused of child endangerment and DUI-drugs.
The arrest report for Ruby Alexander says on October 11th around midnight, an officer was investigating a disturbance at a QT when someone pointed out a woman splayed out, face down, legs out (like under arrest) on the ground.
It says the officer asked her why she was on the ground like that and Alexander replied, “to be safe.”
It says the officer asked what she meant and Alexander said she had smoked meth and had her 1 year old child in the car.
The officer says he then remembered seeing Alexander drive up, argue with a man (baby’s father) who was walking around the parking lot, yelling at unseen things, then Alexander pulled into the parking lot.
The report says Alexander has a suspended driver’s license and the child was in the front seat, unsecured.
DHS took custody of the child.
