Sand Springs Police arrest a Taco Bell employee, accused of flashing a gun to customers in the drive-thru.
The affidavit for William Thompson says it happened April 2nd at nearly 1 AM.
It says Thompson told police a couple was in the drive-thru, being rude and hateful and refusing to leave.
It says Thompson admitted going to his car and getting a gun, pointing it down, but, showing it to the couple and they left.
It says he told his boss what he’d done and was told immediately to leave the property.
It says Thompson willingly talked to police, handed over the gun and said, “I am so sorry and I will never do a thing like this again as long as I live.”
He’s charged with reckless handling of a firearm and having a gun as a felon.
Records show he was convicted in Tulsa County in 2010 for forgery and given a 3 year deferred sentence, but, that was later revoked and he was sentenced to 3 years in prison, where he served 13 months.
The new charges are not a conviction.
