Tulsa Police arrest a man accused of trafficking fentanyl and running from police.
The arrest report for Anthony Nguyen says on June 17th around 1 AM, an officer tried to pull over Nguyen for in improper tag, but Nguyen took off, speeding and blowing through stop lights.
It says officers stopped the pursuit but the helicopter followed Nguyen and directed officers to him.
It says he had a baggie in his pocket containing nearly 12 grams of fentanyl and cocaine, plus a digital scale, baggies and cash totaling more than $3,600.
It says he had a loaded, extended Glock magazine that holds 31 rounds plus 43 loose rounds in the car as well.
Records show the following convictions in Tulsa County:
2011: 2 counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; sentenced to 4 years deferred
2012: having a gun while on DOC supervision; sentenced to 5 years in prison (that also applied to the 2011 case, since he broke the rules of that probation.)
He was charged in 2022 with misdemeanor DUI and that’s pending.
