RawNews1st – Police arrest a man accused of shooting his uncle in the chest.
The affidavit for Logan Burdick says the shooting happened October 25th and the uncle was saved by a police officer putting a chest seal on the entrance wound.
It says the victim required surgery for a severed aorta, severed lower intestine and injured pancreas.
It says a couple of days before, Burdick’s mother had told the uncle and his wife, that Burdick had transferred thousands of dollars out of her account, stolen her vehicles, cell phone, ID and gun, then strangled her.
It says the mother confronted Burdick and he strangled her.
It says the aunt and uncle had taken the mother to close her account and apply for a protective order, when they learned, Burdick was back at his mother’s condo.
It says the mother and aunt stayed in the car and the uncle went inside and the women heard scuffling, then a gunshot.
It says Burdick and another man ran out of the condo and Burdick said, “That’s right, I shot him. I shot him.”
He’s charged with shooting with intent to kill.
