RawNews1st – Police arrest a man accused of molesting a boy he knew through church.
The affidavit for Michael Burdett says the two met through Lighthouse Christian Church where Burdett was a mentor to boys at the church and also the school, Lighthouse Christian Academy.
It says the two would hang out together, go eat and to fun places and study.
It says they eventually hung out at Burdett’s home, sometimes with others and sometimes alone.
It says Burdett started with inappropriate conversations and it moved to changing clothes in front of the boy and then progressed to inviting the boy to perform sex acts and eventually, to touching.
The affidavit says the boy came forward after another person also filed a report on Burdett of a similar nature.
Burdett is charged with 5 counts of lewd molestation and 1 count of lewd proposals.
