Syracuse Police say a 14-year-old boy was arrested Monday for making a shooting threat against Roberts PreK-8 School.

Police say the boy made the threat on the app Snapchat and was charged with making a threat of mass harm, which is a misdemeanor.

Officials did not find any preparations that showed the boy intended to carry out a shooting.

The 14-year-old was released on a family court appearance ticket and was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program.
