A person was carjacked at gunpoint in Hyde Park, just blocks from the University of Chicago campus.
According to university officials, the driver, who is not affiliated with the school, was parked at 1333 E. 61st Street when three suspects emerged from a red Kia and demanded his Jeep.
According to officials, the victim complied and the suspects fled in his vehicle.
The Chicago Police Department is looking into the matter.
