One person is in the hospital after an officer shot them during a firefight near Six Flags Over Georgia, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
The GBI says the shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
According to the GBI, 500 to 600 people were “running through the park and fighting.” Cobb County officers followed the crowd onto Six Flags Parkway when “an unknown number of suspects” fired at the officers.
The GBI said one person was hit when officers returned fire. That person was then taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
