Park City Center mall in Lancaster Four people wounded in shooting. Multiple people were injured on Sunday in a shooting at the Park City Center Mall in Lancaster.

It happened just before 2:30 p.m.

Police said the shooting resulted in non-life-threatening injuries. Three men and one woman were treated for gunshot wounds.

Two women were also injured leaving the mall.

Police: Shooting started as altercation between two peoplePolice provided more information Monday about what led up to the shooting.Investigators said it started as an altercation between two people, including a 16-year-old with a gun.

Multiple people got involved in a struggle for the weapon, police said, and the 16-year-old shot one person.Police said a bystander with a legally possessed firearm also engaged the people fighting over the gun and fired shots, hitting one person.

The people who were injured include the 16-year-old and two others involved in the altercation. A woman walking with her family was also struck in the arm, according to police.

Police said the 16-year-old has been hospitalized and is in police custody, awaiting the filing of formal charges against him.

The bystander stayed at the scene and was interviewed and released, police said. The district attorney will determine if the bystander’s actions were lawful and justified.
