Outages Vodafone Portugal: Cyberattack Leaves Millions without Service
Vodafone Portugal is recovering from a “deliberate and malicious cyberattack,” that brought services down for millions of users in the country.
“[It was] a targeted attack on the network, with the purpose […] to leave our customers without any service,” the firm’s CEO told the press.
Users ,including businesses and emergency services, were unable to make voice calls, send text messages, use the Internet, and access cable TV.
The company says it did not receive any ransom demand, or details that sensitive data was stolen.
