ARRESTED AND CHARGED: Suspects Oscar DeAngelo Smith, 30 and Temmika Burgess, 39, were charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 55-year old woman on the city’s east side.
On July 12, 2020 at approximately 5 p.m. in the 6200 block of Helen , the suspects allegedly shot and killed the victim then took her body to a wooded area before fleeing the scene. Both suspects were located and arrested by Detroit Police Officers on August 2nd .
Oscar Smith was charged with one count of First-Degree Murder, one count of Felon in Possession, and two counts of Felony Firearm. Temmika Burgess has been charged with one count of First-Degree Murder, one count of Felony Firearm, one count of Tampering with Evidence, and one count of Third-Degree Arson.
