OSBI agents arrest a woman in the death of her baby son, that happened nearly 30 years ago.
They arrested Meaonia Allen for first degree murder in the case of Baby Doe that happened in Choctaw County in 1993.
In October 2020, the OSBI agents with the Cold Case Unit submitted Baby Doe’s DNA to Parabon Nanolabs.
In April 2021, the result from Parabon created leads that investigators followed up on and earlier this month, additional DNA testing confirmed Allen was the baby’s mother and she then admitted to it.
A homeowner found Baby Doe in their yard in rural Choctaw County on December 8th, 1993.
The Medical Examiner determined the baby had been born alive and died from having his throat slashed.
Numerous interviews were conducted during the initial investigation, but the case went unsolved.
Investigators say Allen has admitted to cutting the baby’s throat shortly after his birth.
Allen was working for a daycare center at the time and has never told anyone of her pregnancy or delivery until now.
