One arrested in Armed Robbery/Home Invasion Case; Search ongoing for other suspect

Robert Benson (36) is in LPSO custody:

*He is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. A ‘hold’ has been placed on Benson by the Ward 2 Marshal.

The search for Alyssa Dennis continues. She is wanted for Principal to Commit Armed Robbery

On May 25, 2022, deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 10,000 stretch of Crooked Creek Lane (Denham Springs) in re: a home invasion.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘The homeowner was transported to a local hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the home invasion which include head injuries & a nose fracture.

Through investigation, it was learned the male homeowner and a female acquaintance were inside the home when a suspect entered the back door of that home.

The suspect then began attacking the homeowner.

Investigators have also learned the male suspect & that female acquaintance of the homeowner – teamed – arming themselves with the homeowner’s guns. They then robbed the homeowner & fled with his things, including his cell phone.

The homeowner was able to seek safety at a neighbor’s home & call for help.’
