16NewsNow A couple in Oklahoma was arrested after police allegedly discovered multiple children locked up in a room covered in feces.
A neighbor called 911 after seeing two young boys, around the ages of three and four, naked in an upstairs window, KOCO reported.
When officers arrived, they described almost becoming overcome by the smell of feces and urine inside the apartment.
Officers said 24-year-old Dakota Dodd, led officers to the bedroom where the boys were found.
The couple is in a sentence approving guilty in a court of law.
“Feces on the walls, feces on the kids. It was a completely disgusting scene,” said MSgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
The bedroom was connected to a bathroom, but the door was locked from the other side.
Dodd allegedly admitted to locking the boys in the bedroom for more than 12 hours a day, KOCO reported.
Police said the conditions were so severe that crime scene investigators later wore hazmat suits to protect themselves.
There was a third child in the home, who is Dodd’s biological child.
However, all three children belong to the mother, 22-year-old Aubrianna Freeman.
Both Dodd and Freeman were arrested and are facing multiple charges of child neglect.
