On July 4, 2024, shortly after 7 p.m., police were called to the 3200 block of West 125th Street in Cleveland, Ohio for a report of a shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found a young girl, who had sustained a single gunshot wound.
Officers immediately began to provide first aid, and due to the severity of the injury, officers transported the child to the hospital.
The victim was identified as 10-year-old Gracie Griffin.
Police said no arrests have been made.
It’s unclear at this time what led up to the shooting, as no further information was released.
