NO SEX PLEASE … It’s a PANDEMIC – NZ’s PM advises hospital visitors against intercourse with patients during Covid
New Zealand’s PM Jacinda Arden said sexual relations, regardless of Covid status, shouldn’t “generally be part of hospital visiting hours” at a coronavirus press conference on Thursday.
Arden was giving her daily virus update, when a reporter asked whether an allegation involving a patient and a visitor who had “sexual relations” at an Auckland hospital was considered a “high-risk activity, in the current climate.”
The allegation made by a patient to staff in the hospital comes as the Auckland district health board faced fierce criticism for allowing hundreds of visitors to see patients a day – despite a strict city-wide lockdown in place.
