Authorities in Northern Kentucky are investigating a chilling incident involving the discovery of dismembered and cooked human remains at a woman’s residence.
The Kentucky State Police reported on Thursday that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields has been arrested in connection with the crime.
According to witnesses, a man who had been hired to work at the property on Tuesday described unsettling behavior from Fields, claiming she was “casting spells” on both him and the victim. He also described her as confrontational.
The following day, when the man returned to the home, he sensed something was amiss. After knocking on the door with no response, he began searching the property—and made a horrifying discovery.
He found a deceased individual whose body had been dismembered, with the arms, legs, and head separated from the torso, according to KSP.
Troopers later uncovered “multiple body parts and organs” concealed inside a folded mattress near the victim’s body.
Further investigation revealed what appeared to be cooked human remains in a pot that was still warm, found inside the kitchen oven.
Fields is at the Bourbon County Detention Center.
