North Dakota bans teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools
The state senate voted 38-9 Friday to approve a bill banning CRT in its schools, according to Fox News.
Proponents of the bill say it is a preventative measure and that there is currently no evidence CRT is being taught in the school system.
It’s currently unclear whether or not Gov. Doug Burgum will sign the bill into law. According to his office, Burgum “generally doesn’t comment on legislation before it reaches his desk.”
