An NYPD cop fatally shot himself inside his Manhattan apartment on Wednesday, sources said.
The officer, 34, was discovered by police inside his Stuyvesant Town apartment at about 7:15 p.m. after he failed to show up for work, according to sources.
He was found lying face down on his bed, sources said, and there was a gun beside him.
The cop joined the department in 2013.
He was stationed out of Times Square and would normally start his shift at 6 p.m., sources said.
His suicide is the second within NYPD ranks this month.
