A New Mexico man wanted in connection with five different murders across two states has been arrested in Missouri.Sean Lannon was taken into custody Wednesday morning in the city of St. Louis by of members of the U.S. Marshals’ St. Louis Metro Fugitive Task Force, according to a press release from authorities.
The 47-year-old is facing charges including murder, burglary, possession of a weapon and motor vehicle theft for the death of Michael Dabkowski, a 66-year-old from East Greenwich Township, N.J.
He was found sleeping in the victim’s car.
Lannon is also a person of interest in the deaths of four other people found dead in New Mexico earlier this month, according to the Albuquerque Journal. Authorities kicked off the investigation Friday after a security guard reported a foul odor coming from a truck parked on the top level of a parking garage at the Albuquerque International Sunport.
Inside, officers discovered the remains of Matthew Miller, 21, Jesten Mata, 40, and Randal Apostalon, 60 and 39-year-old Jennifer Lannon, who divorced the suspect in 2019.
Albuquerque police said three of the people were reported missing since January from Grants, about 80 miles west of the city. The cause of death wasn’t immediately clear.
Grants police previously posted on Facebook last month that they were seeking a different suspect in connection with the disappearances. Authorities did not offer further information about that potential suspect on Wednesday.
“There’s a lot of aspects to this. We’re still finding out information as we’re going forward with this investigation,” Grants police Lt. David Chavez said.
