Nelly, 49, whose birth name is Cornell Haynes II, was arrested in possession of four ecstasy pills and for not having insurance.
According to online arrest records, Haynes was arrested at 4:45 am, taken to the Maryland Heights Police Department, and later released.
Maryland Heights Police confirmed Cornell Haynes II had an outstanding traffic summons on Aug. 7.
