A press release from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office says on Friday, April 28, around 10:55 p.m., deputies from the sheriff’s office narcotics and interdiction unit were conducting an investigation that resulted in the pursuit and arrest of Scottie Lee Parham, 30, of Asheville.Â
Recovered was 497.2 grams of Methamphetamine, 299.5 grams of suspected Fentanyl and a Glock handgun.Â
“To date, this is one of the largest seizures of suspected Fentanyl in Haywood County history,” the sheriff’s office noted.
Parham is currently being held on a $2,550,000.00 bond in the Haywood County detention facility and is charged with the following:
- Felony Flee to Elude Arrest in a Motor Vehicle
- 2 Counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine
- 2 Counts of Trafficking Opium or Heroin (Suspected Fentanyl)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
