Organizations across the globe from NATO to governments are terrified of ceding quantum dominance as the potential attacks could be devastating, according to Bloomberg experts.
VPN security could allegedly be cracked by quantum machines, meaning critically sensitive communications between allies could theoretically be picked up by malicious actors.
Experts believe quantum machines are still five years away from reality, but it hasn’t stopped China ($12-15BN), the US ($1.2BN) France ($2BN) plowing huge sums into chasing quantum domination.
