Another day, another drama. Safaree and his estranged wife Erica Mena just welcomed their second child into the world, but their once united front couldn’t be more divided.
But Safaree claims Mena ignored the order and destroyed over $50,000 worth of his property. The documents reportedly state Mena poured bleach on over $30,000 worth of customized sneakers. She then allegedly tossed paint all over two of his motorcycles and a four-wheeler motorbike while making sure it got into the exhaust pipes and gas tanks.
Safaree says the incident took place on May 23, just two days after Mena — who was eight months pregnant at the time — filed for divorce. Safaree says he has the footage on his home security system and is prepared to turn it over to the court. He’s asking a judge to order her to pay him $50,000 in damages.
According to TMZ, the couple’s impending divorce just took a nasty turn after Safaree filed court documents asking the judge to hold his Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta co-host in contempt for violating their domestic relations standing order, which prohibits them from harassing each other or destroying each other’s property during the divorce proceedings.
The couple’s public meltdown kicked off in February when Safaree wrote in a since-deleted Twitter post, “I mean this from the bottom of my heart getting married was 1 of my BIGGEST mistakes and it will never happen again. I’m walking away before I End up in jail over some dumb shit. Nobody is worth my freedom!!!”
Mena retaliated with, “Since you always run to social media like a little girl I might as well join in. I absolutely agree with you on this. You are the most selfish, vain and inconsiderate person. And not just with me but your only daughter!”
“I’m blasting both of you since he told you to lay low tonight – clearly who both know I found out y’all been fucking all weekend,” she wrote in part. “My son not even a week old yet and he dicking you down. I hope this is something you proud of shorty. This man lost his whole family officially. I wish you both the best.”
Earlier this month, Mena accused Safaree of sleeping with Joe Budden’s ex and seemed to draw the line in yet another messy Twitter post.
