RawNews1st – Sheriff Carmine Marceno: “This lab posed an immediate danger to the surrounding residents and their tips led our Narcotics Unit to this arrest. See it, say it, and make the call.”
SWFL Crime Stoppers tips from concerned neighbors led detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division to find a hidden lab dedicated to the manufacturing of narcotics.
Located on the 1600 block of Park Meadows Drive in Fort Myers, the completely altered apartment was found with multiple open dangerous chemicals scattered around, gas torches, and extension cords running throughout the house.
Its purpose was dedicated to producing, manufacturing, and packaging narcotics and this was creating a tragedy waiting to happen.
Thanks to the great residents of Lee County, Javier Vargas (2/4/99) was arrested, put out of business, and booked in the Marceno Motel.
