Murder Trial & Jury Selection May Begin By End Of Month For Death Of Rapper XXXTentacion
The long awaited murder trial in the death of Florida rapper XXXTentacion may begin at the end of January.
Attorneys attended a hearing in the case Friday. Prosecutors are hoping to begin jury selection by the end of this month as well.
XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Swayne Onfroy, was leaving a business in Deerfield Beach when he was ambushed and shot to death by two accused robbers.
Lawyers for one for Dedrick Williams, filed a motion for rapper Drake to testify at the trial, according to local news.
Allegedly, they’re believing that previous tension between Drake and XXXtentacion could be linked to the murder.
However, there hasn’t been any evidence pointing to Drake indicating he’s involved.
