MURDER SUSPECT IS DEAD IN DOUBLE HOMICIDE INVOLVING ANSEL AND ALICE BOUCHILLON
Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a death investigation after a man wanted for double homicide shot himself as deputies were trying to get him in custody.
Deputies with Greenville County Sheriff’s Office F.A.S.I.T. responded to 64 Orchard Park (WoodSpring Suites).
The purpose of taking into custody 57-year-old, Jerry Willard Yancy for the murder of Ansel and Alice Bouchillon that occurred on June 15, 2022.
The GCSO said upon announcing themselves at his hotel door deputies heard a gunshot and upon entry inside observed Yancy with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Yancy was pronounced deceased on scene.
During the course of the homicide investigation, investigators learned that Yancy had been doing contract work for the victims and at some point a dispute occurred over the work provided.
Investigators learned that during the evening hours of June 15th Yancy entered the victims residence, where he proceeded to shoot and kill both of them.
Investigators obtained active warrants on Yancy for two counts of Murder, two counts of Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime and 1st degree Burglary.
