Mount Sinai Investigates Ties Between Jeffrey Epstein and Prominent Hospital Doctor
The Mount Sinai Health System in New York has launched an internal investigation into potential connections between convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and a well-known physician affiliated with the hospital. The probe follows newly released Department of Justice documents that revealed previously undisclosed relationships between Epstein and several members of the medical community.

At the center of the review is Eva Andersson‑Dubin, a physician and founder of the Dubin Breast Center at Mount Sinai’s Tisch Cancer Institute. Dubin, a former model and longtime acquaintance of Epstein, appeared repeatedly in newly released records related to Epstein’s network of associates.

According to reports, the hospital’s board formed a special committee to examine its past interactions with Epstein and to determine whether any ethical or institutional policies were violated. Investigators are reviewing donations, communications, and medical referrals connected to Epstein and individuals within the hospital system.

Documents released from federal investigations suggest Epstein maintained close ties with certain doctors and medical institutions, sometimes using his wealth and influence to secure specialized care for himself and associates. In some cases, emails indicated he arranged medical appointments or procedures for women connected to him through prominent physicians.

Financial ties have also come under scrutiny. Epstein reportedly donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to medical research and hospital programs over the years, including contributions connected to Mount Sinai initiatives.

Mount Sinai officials have publicly condemned Epstein’s crimes and stated that the hospital is reviewing all available information to ensure transparency and accountability. The institution emphasized that Epstein’s actions stand in direct opposition to its mission of ethical patient care and professional responsibility.

As investigations continue, the case highlights broader questions about how elite institutions—including hospitals, universities, and research programs—interacted with Epstein during the years before his death in 2019.
