Mother And Her Son Charged With Murder Of 50-Year-Old South Carolina Man
A South Carolina mother and son are both in jail following a violent homicide in Belton, according to The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
According to deputies, officials responded to a house on Henry Thomas Road for a vandalism call. As they were walking the area, they found 50-year-old Paul Michael Owen dead outside of a neighboring home.
Deputies mentioned they had just responded to the home the night before for a domestic call involving a mother, Heather Capri Thompson, and the victim.
After further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said Thompson’s son, Owen Michael Morrison, had beaten the victim to death with an object.
The mother and son were tracked down late Sunday night outside of a church on McDuffie Street.
Officials said Thompson and Morrison both confessed and have been charged with murder.
