More than 12,000 customers out of power in Texas amid high winds, single-digit temperatures Thursday
According to the Texas Power Outage tracker, more than 9,200 tracked customers were without power as of 10:45 a.m.
Those impacted on the High Plains included more than 1,200 customers in Randall County near Amarillo, in addition to small-scale outages in Hutchison and Garza counties, though most customers in the region have since had their power restored.
High winds also briefly knocked power out for approximately 1,000 customers in Lubbock Thursday morning, but crews repaired the outage within 12 minutes, said a spokesperson for Lubbock Power & Light.
