Orlando police have arrested 28-year-old Viviana Riog Caballero months after the death of her 7-year-old daughter.
Police say Caballero brought her daughter to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in May because the young girl was having trouble breathing and had severe swelling in her legs. The girl later died at the hospital.
Orlando Police Department homicide detectives later found that the girl “sustained serious injury because of a suspected fall, but medical treatment was not sought for a considerable length of time, unfortunately too late,” according to an email statement shared late Friday.
