kentucky – Michelle McCarty was arrested on a domestic-related murder charge and booked into the Shelby County Detention Center, according to the Shelbyville Police Department.
She is behind bars after police said she shot and killed her daughter following an argument at a home earlier this week.
When police officers arrived, they found 30-year-old Jessica Spyker with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, McCarty and Spyker were involved in an argument at the Gray Hawk Drive home, where they both lived.
McCarty then allegedly grabbed a gun, shooting Spyker.Investigators said a child also lived with the mother and daughter, but the relationship to the two women is unknown.
