Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella Strahan gave fans a painful update on how chemotherapy is going for her after she was diagnosed with brain cancer.
In a vlog on her YouTube account Friday, the 20-year-old shared that she felt like she was “having a heart attack” while rubbing an ice pack on her now-shaved head to mitigate her headache.
“Everything hurts,” she said in the clip titled, “Vlog 8: Recovering from Chemo at home.”
“My eyes are strained. They hurt to look to the sides. My whole mouth feels like I got one giant root canal of my whole mouth of every single tooth and just ripped out and not even surgically put back in,” the college student added.
“My jaw hurts, the bottom of my tongue hurts when I gulp water.”
Isabella said that she would “prefer radiation” — and even “brain surgery” — over chemotherapy due to the pain her body is experiencing.
“This one’s just the longest journey. Just the hardest. I think it just stresses me out because so much could go wrong,” she continued.
“I feel. It’s like, ‘Oh, no. My heart hurts. That could mean I’m having a heart attack.’ Or like, my eyes strained, what if my eyes stop working? Or like, what if my teeth just rot and fall out? I don’t know.”
Despite the downside of the cancer treatment, the University of Southern California student said she is happy to be back home sleeping in her own bed.
