Rawnews1st -Detectives with the Lawton Police Department’s Special Operations Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at SW Sheridan RD and SW I Ave on a male who was asleep behind the wheel.
Prior to making contact with the driver, in plain sight the detectives could see a methamphetamine pipe in the cup holder.
The male later identified as Sergio Castrejon’-Ramirez was woke up and placed into handcuffs.
After searching the vehicle, detectives seized approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine. Castrejon’-Ramirez was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
After further investigation, detectives determined that large amounts of methamphetamine was being converted into crystal methamphetamine at an address in the City of Lawton.
Detectives obtained two search warrants for two different locations in Lawton.
At one residence detectives seized approximately 30.88 pounds of methamphetamine in the back of a pickup truck.
At the second residence, detectives seized approximately 30.94 pounds of methamphetamine, for a total weight of 61.82 pounds of methamphetamine.
Detectives were also able to seize several gallons of liquid methamphetamine that has yet to be converted into crystal methamphetamine.

The approximate street value at the gram level is $1,122,550.00 in US currency. After conducting interviews, Sergio Castrejon’-Ramirez and Mariela Vasquez-Leon both admitted to be working for Michoacan’ Cartel located in Mexico.
Both individuals have been charged with aggravated manufacturing of methamphetamine (S63-2-401.G4H) and aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine (S63-2-415.C4C). This is an arrest and not an conviction.
