A Metropolitan Nashville Police Department investigation is underway after a reported shooting took place on the Vanderbilt University campus on Saturday.

The shooting took place at 1900 South Drive at around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. This is the Sutherland House student dormitory.

The MNPD preliminary investigation reveals the incident occurred between members of a construction crew that were working in the building regarding employment issues.

According to police, one victim has a non-critical wound to the arm.

Two suspects were taken into custody at the Mapco gas station, 1507 21st Ave South, said police, who confiscated a firearm located on one of the detained.
