MEMPHIS, TN – On May 26, 2022, at 8:40 pm, officers made the scene of a business robbery at Dollar Tree located in the 4500 block of Quince Road. A lone black male suspect entered and posed as a shopper.
After walking around the store for several minutes waiting for other customers to leave, the suspect approached the register, produced a black handgun and demanded money from both cashiers’ registers.
The suspect took money from one register but when he was unable to get the second register open he pulled out the entire register.
The suspect was observed fleeing the scene on foot across the parking lot to Sea Isle Road, where he got into a blue mini-van and fled southbound.
The suspect reportedly took the I-240 exit, where he drove westbound.
The suspect is black male, 6’1, 150lbs, thin build, approximately 18 years old, black ski mask, black hoodie with a white Nike swoosh symbol with the word Nike above it on the upper left side, light colored ripped jeans with red patches under the rips, black and gray tennis shoes, and armed with a handgun.
The suspect vehicle was a blue minivan with TN partial tag DMJ.
No arrests have been made at this point.
This is an ongoing investigation.
