Massachusetts NOW BEING HIT by wave of pneumonia in children as Ohio county issues “white lung” warning..
Medical professionals in certain areas of Massachusetts and Ohio have noted a significant rise in pneumonia cases among children, echoing similar outbreaks in China and various European countries.
Warren County, located about 30 miles from Cincinnati, has experienced 142 cases of a condition known as ‘white lung syndrome’ in children since August. Local health officials have characterized this number as ‘exceptionally high’.
The health department in Warren County stated on Wednesday, “This incidence rate not only surpasses our county’s average but also conforms to the definition of an outbreak as per the Ohio Department of Health’s standards.”
