A man who was placed on a 2 year deferred sentence in August, for domestic assault and battery, has been arrested again, for assaulting the same victim, this time, lacerating her liver and putting her in the hospital for at least three days.
The affidavit for Marquilion Hogan says he went to the woman’s home and became enraged over a text he saw on the woman’s phone.
It says he picked her up by the throat, then slammed her to the ground, then repeatedly punched her in the face, head and body.
It says he told her to stand up straight, but, when she could not, he pulled her up by the hair and strangled her until she passed out.
It says he refused to let her leave a bedroom, even to go to the bathroom and told her he would kill her if she tried and he took her electronics and keys so she couldn’t get help.
It says after 5 hours, he left the home and she walked down the street and a good samaritan saw her and took her to the hospital.
It says her face, neck and chest were swollen and bruised, her lips bleeding, her gums cut and her liver lacerated.
Hogan was booked into jail for domestic assault and battery, assault and battery likely to produce death, kidnapping, domestic assault and battery, 2nd offense and malicious injury to property.
He had been charged with misdemeanor domestic assault and battery and malicious injury to property two months ago and was given a 2 year deferred sentence.
Prosecutors are now asking to have the sentence revoked.
These new charges are not a conviction.
