A man currently on a suspended sentenced has been arrested again.
This time, Tulsa Police say Marcellus Powell is accused of assaulting a man with a steel ball wrapped in a cord.
The arrest report for Powell says he held the steel ball in his hand and beat the victim in the head and face, in an effort to cause max damage.
It says the victim’s face and shirt were covered in blood and Powell admitted, he also had some of the victim’s blood on his own shirt.
It says the two men got into an argument that turned into punches, with Powell throwing the first one and giving the victim significant injuries.
Records show:
January 2020: Powell convicted of having a gun as a felon and given a 4 year suspended sentence
May 2014: Powell convicted of unauthorized use of a vehicle and given a 4 year suspended sentence.
June 2006: Powell convicted of having drugs and given a 2 year deferred sentence.
The new charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, is not a conviction.
