Manhattan DA MUST Hand Over Documents To JPMorgan For Lawsuit Over Epstein Ties
A U.S. judge has ruled that the Manhattan District Attorney (DA) must provide JPMorgan Chase with documents pertaining to a lawsuit against the bank regarding its connections with the now deceased sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
The lawsuit is brought forth by a woman alleging sexual abuse by Epstein and accusing the bank of facilitating his sex trafficking by maintaining him as a client between 1998 and 2013, even after his guilty plea for a Florida prostitution charge.
JPMorgan is being sued by a woman who said she was abused by Epstein, and accused the largest U.S. bank of enabling his sex trafficking by keeping him as a client from 1998 to 2013, the last five years after he pleaded guilty to a Florida prostitution charge.
The New York-based bank in turn sued former senior executive Jes Staley, who was friendly with Epstein, with allegations that he concealed what he knew about his crimes.
Staley has expressed regret for befriending Epstein, but denied any knowledge of his offences.
