We need your help finding a man who was involved in a shootout with two other guys in the middle of a residential street week before last.
We have warrants for 20-year-old Datrit Harris for Deadly Conduct/Discharge Firearm and Failure to Identify
On May 20, we got several calls about shots being fired in the area of Babb Lane and Tracola Street about 7:30 that evening.
Callers told 911 that they heard at least 20 shots and gave a description of a white Nissan Maxima that was involved.
On the way to the call, Officer Micah Miller met the Nissan at the intersection of Richmond Road and Belt Road, and it took off through the red light when he was turned around to get behind it.
He pursued the vehicle until it eventually stopped on East 42nd Street in Arkansas.
Both the driver and passenger were arrested by TAPD after two guns (one of which had been reported stolen) and drugs were found inside the car.

During the course of her investigation, Detective Tabitha Smith located some surveillance video in the area that showed her exactly what happened: In the video, a dark colored car could be seen passing the Nissan and stops.
Almost immediately, a man with a rifle stepped out of that car with a rifle and started shooting in the direction of the Nissan.
At the same time, two men get out of the Nissan and shoot back toward the other man. All this happened with children, houses, and other vehicles in the line of fire – but they didn’t seem to care.
After several shots are exchanged, the two men sped away in the Nissan (only to be encountered by Officer Miller just down the road), and the guy with the rifle ran off on foot.
Obviously, Detective Smith knew who the two men in the Nissan were.
She obtained warrants for Zachary Moore (20) for Deadly Conduct/Discharge Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Evading Arrest with a Previous Detention.
She also got a warrant for Kadarus Lincoln (17) for Deadly Conduct/Discharge Firearm. They were both arrested on May 31 and are still in the Bi-State Jail as of this post.
Detective Smith later determined that Datrit Harris was the other man who was shooting the rifle. She got the warrants for his arrest last week but hasn’t yet been able to find him.
If you know where Harris is, please call us at 903-798-3116 or Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP.
