A man who pretended to be dead for 321 days is cast as a corpse in CSI. Talk about a role to die for, I am right?
I think it’s fair to say that whatever our dream job may be, whether it’s a Hollywood megastar, a sports superstar or the best singer in the world, we’ve all fantasised about what life could be like amongst the rich and the famous. But what if that dream job was to play a dead body?
That’s exactly the dream job of Josh Nalley from Kentucky USA, and his commitment to playing dead has landed him a gig on the popular drama series CSI and has now achieved a lifetime ambition. Talk about thinking outside of the box or should I say, coffin box, am I right? No, ok then, I’ll move on.
As reported by our friends at UNILAD, when Josh Nalley posted a video on his TikTok account every day for 321 days posing to be dead in random places, as much as he’d hoped, I doubt he thought he’d be cast on a major TV series.
Can you imagine taking your dog for a brisk walk in the woods to find what you think is a bed body on the floor? That would send me into a panic for sure (I’m a poet and I don’t even know it). Still, you’ve got to commend the commitment of Nalley and we couldn’t be happier that his antics have landed him a job on TV.
After uploading 100s of videos, Nalley’s dream came to fruition when he got the call he was waiting for, from none other than CSI: Vegas, one of the spin-offs to the mainline series. Nalley might only be starring in a single episode so far, but now that Hollywood has come calling for his talents, could we see the TikTokker star in The Walking Dead franchise next? Only time will tell.
When talking to the Courier Journal, Nalley explained that despite having no acting experience, he learned over the corpse, sorry course of time how to play a dead body perfectly.
